Ms. Nisreen Musleh has over 19 years of experience in the field of language services particularly translation, interpreting, and editing.

In 2007, she has established and now is the Team Leader of Ritaj’s Language Service Department. Her core value is to maintain top-quality deliverables on every assignment. Her role involves strategic planning, capacity building, and driving opportunities for language services in both local and international markets.

She has also implemented the triangle approach for each project–to have a team of translators, editors, and proofreaders for each translation project–that proved its efficiency via customer satisfaction surveys.

Our translation methodology

Ritaj’s team seamlessly manages translation assignments based on the following methodology.

  1. Build a glossary to unify terminology among the translators working on the project
  2. Ensure that all graphs, footnotes, or any other parts of the document are open source and can be reproduced in the target document
  3. Submit a sample part of the document for technical approval by client
  1. Clarify any needed terminology, check for reference material 
  2. Agree on the suitability of the set deadline and target document review process
  3. Assign someone from the client’s staff to proofread the document

Accordingly, the prime focus of PTC is on professionalism. Safe to say that PTC is not a level-based but a competency-based training, it starts with boosting your research and analytical reading skills, utilizing your technological devices, building your terminology, and reaches to approaching translation as a process, the types of translation and the techniques of avoiding literal translation. PTC provides you with the appropriate reading plan that goes hand in hand with the topics discussed throughout the training course to foster your knowledge.

Bearing in mind that the translator usually gets in touch with a variety of documents, especially in case he/she works at the Palestinian labor market; the chances of getting a job opportunity as a specialized translator in one only field is little to none compared with the capacity of the market. Therefore, PTC gives the prime focus on the process, approaches, and stages of translation among a variety of topics. عندما تأسرك اللغة

بحكم عملي، سافرت كثيرا وقابلت كثيرين، منهم من يعتز بلغته الأم لدرجة رفض التحدث بأي لغة أخرى، ورغم أن عملي هُو المُحرك الرئيس لأسفاري إلَّا أني لا أنسى حظي من الاستجمام. وهذه حال اخر رحلاتي إلى تركيا التي قصدتها لإتمام مهمة عمل مُحددة تطلبت احتكاكاً مباشراً مع أهالي البلد، أقصد أهالي البلد الأصليين ممن لا يزورهم الأجانب إلَّا كل سنة مرة.
دفعتني رحلة الأيام الست تلك للتساؤل إذا ما كان سبق لأحد أن استخدم مصطلح “الأسر اللغوي” من قبل، حالة تُخلف شعوراً شبيها بالعزل الانفرادي عن الآخر، لم يكن لدي أدنى معلومة عن اللغة هناك، أصابني ذلك بحالة من التصلب اللغوي كلما تعاملت مع السكان علماً أني أجيد لغتين ناهيك عن شغفي في اللغات عموماً. إلى جانب لغتي العربية أتقن الإنجليزية إتقان أهلها لها؛ وما ندر أن عاقتني اللغة في تحقيق أهدافي بالتواصل، إلَّا أن ذلك لا ينطبق على رحلتي الأخيرة التي تطلبت إلماماً بلغة البلد المُزَار يُسعفنا لإتمام مفاوضات تعاقدية.
سُرعان ما خلص والدي الذي رافقني في مهمتي تلك إلى أن ما نقوم به ليس إلَّا مضيعة للوقت، فمن المحبط أن يستحيل بك الأمر للجوء للإشارات ملقياً ما في جعبتك من لغات إلى الرف. وافقت والدي أحياناً، وأحيانا أُخرى ابتسمت وتساءلت لأي حد يُمكن للإشارات أن ترتق فجوات غياب لغة مشتركة بين الأغراب.
قد تعتقدون أني أبالغ بوصف ما مررت به، إذ ثمة الكثير من العبارات المشتركة بين اللغة العربية-لغتي الأم-والتركية، ناهيك عن كوني مدربة لغة وأؤمن بقوة اللغة، إلَّا أن كل ذلك لم يكن كافيا لتبديد شعوري بالعجز جرَّاء عدم مقدرتي على التواصل.
بعد الأمرين وعقب خمسة أيام من الرحلة المأسورة لغوية عثرنا على مفتاح سجننا في شخص يتحدث اللغة العربية والإنجليزية إلى جانب لغته الأم، بالفور أبرمنا اتفاق مع هذا المُخَلص والمنقذ اللغوي حتى وإن لم تكن خدمته أفضل ما في السوق
وبعد إتمام المهمة وفي طريقي للوطن قررت أن أكتب هذا المقال وملاحظاتي لم تفتر بعد. ستكون هذه الملاحظات بمثابة قائمة بالأمور الواجب القيام بها قبل أي رحلة مقبلة بغض النظر عن الوجهة التي أنوي زيارتها.
أولاً: تعلم!
قبل السفر، لابد من تعلم مفاتيح لغة البلد المراد زيارته، على أن تُنتقى هذه التعابير المفتاحية بما يخدم غرض الزيارة. ليس من الصعب أن توفر بضع الساعات للاستزادة ببعض الكلمات المفتاحية؛ فالقليل منها قد يغني عن استخدام جملة كاملة، فعلى سبيل المثال معرفتي لكلمة ’ikra‘ والتي تعني إيجار بالتركية كانت كفيلة أن تعطيني إمارة بأننا في المكان الصحيح. فالتزود ببعض الكلمات أو العبارات المفتاحية قد يوفر عليك الكثير من الوقت فضلاً عن شعور الاكتفاء والرضى بأن تُفْهَم وتُفَّهم. في بداية رحلتنا قابلنا امرأة لا تتحدث إلا اللغة التركية اعطتنا حلاً مبتكراً بمهاتفة صديقتها التي تتحدث الإنجليزية لتكون حلقة وصل بيننا وبينها –ملاحظة جانبية: تم كل ذلك من خلال خاصية السبيكر عبر الهاتف المحمول. وقابلنا فيمن قابلنا، امرأة تركية كثيرة الكلام في منتصف العمر رافقتنا لكي تعرض علينا خدماتها، لو عرفنا بعض الكلمات المفتاحية لساعدتنا في فهم ما حاولت إيصاله لنا جاهدة حتى ساورني شعور بأنها معلمة.
ثانياً: لا أعذار
لا تتعذر بكونك سائحاً، فهذا ليس عذراً على الإطلاق. لا يرى البعض في قطاع السياحة حاجة ملحة لتعلم لغة ثانية، مما ينقل مسؤولية التعلم إلى السائح نفسه كي يتمكن من التعبير عمَّا يريد دون الانزلاق لهوة الأسر اللغوي. مثال ذلك عندما استأجرنا سيارة، كان تعامل مندوب المبيعات في مكتب الاستقبال جيداً إلى حدٍ ما ولم يحتج الأمر إلَّا لبعض المحاولات، إلَّا أن الحال لم تكن هي الحال مع زميله المسؤول عن استلام وتسليم السيارات فحتى الإشارات والإيماءات لم تجدي نفعاً لجسر هوة اللغة بيننا.
ثالثاً: درب أُذنك
تتميز بعض اللغات بإيقاعها السريع جداً حيث لا تكاد الأذن تلقط كلمة واحدة من جملة متوسطة الطول تاركةً إياك والحيرة تأكل قسمات وجهك راجياً رأس خيط في تعابير وجه من تخاطب دون أي جدوى. ومن الطرق التي تساعدك في التغلب على مثل هذه المواقف هي استماعك لمقطع فيديو لتدرب أذنك على التراكيب الصوتية للغة البلد الذي تنويه، ويمكنك تعلم جمل وعبارات مفتاحية أثناء مشاهدتك لمثل هذه الفيديوهات.
رابعا: الأدوات
سلح نفسك بالأداة المناسبة؛ فإن كنت لا تعرف شيئاً عن لغة البلد الذي تنوي زيارته لكن مهمتك تقتضي التعمق في المجتمع المحلي ولقاء جهات، أو أفراد، أو أساتذة، أو أطباء، أو باعة، أو غير ذلك فلا مناص أن تشعر بالضياع دون لغة كمن اعتل تطبيق الجي بي اس (نظام التموضع العالمي) خاصته عن إرشاده لوجهته! وعليك بتطبيقات الترجمة الفورية (والتي وإن لم تفي بالغرض تحل جزء من العقدة)، فأداة تفشي بشيء من الغرض أفضل من لا شيء.
في رحلتنا طلبنا من أحدهم التكلم عبر إحدى تطبيقات الترجمة لنحصل على أعجب ترجمة ممكنة، في المقابل أبلى التطبيق بلاء حسناً في ترجمة الجمل القصيرة والبسيطة. ملاحظة جانبية أخرى لمطوري التطبيقات اللغوية: ما زال هنالك الكثير لتطويره على هذه الجبهة.
سأكتفي مشاركتكم بهذه الملاحظات الأربع رغم أن ما تعلمته من هذه التجربة يفوق ذلك بكثير.
يبقى السفر النشوة الكبرى وأكثر التجارب إثراء وثراء بفرص التعلم؛ لذا نصيحتي لكم أن تستمتعوا بتعلم عبارات مفتاحية من لغة البلد الذي تنوون زيارته، فمسرة ذلك لا تقتصر على التواصل والاحتكاك مع أهل البلد الأصليين وإنما يثري سفرك بنافذة تُطل بك على ثقافات جديدة وفرص لا تنتهي من التعلم.
